                      Springtime Blossom

                Wind & Weather Tour

Here is your chance to experience the beauty of an orchard in spring via tractor ride while learning about the affects of weather patterns on a farm!

Catch a last glimpse of our fruit tree blossoms as well as enjoy an informative discussion of weather on the farm. Kids are welcome to come along to learn about weather and make their very own windsock!

Special guest speaker Pete Catizone, a Certified Consulting Meteorologist of the American Meteorological Society, will take you on a journey of 100 years of weather at Belltown Orchards, all while you are witnessing the beauty of our orchards via tractor. Owners Don & Mike Preli will join the conversation to introduce the various equipment used around the farm to prevent frost in the delicate spring season. If it's not too windy, you will also get a first hand look at our state-of-the-art wind machines which create wind gusts up to a mile long in order to prevent frost from settling. Few people get to see these in action since frost usually occurs in the early hours of the morning, so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

When you return from your tour of the farm, we invite you to enjoy complementary homemade apple cider donuts with fresh coffee while your kids create their very own windsock using paper, string, crayons and ribbon!
